I grew up in a family business. I never forgot what it cost — and what it gave.

My parents ran a small shop on Main Street for 32 years. I watched them work harder than anyone I've ever known. I also watched them get out-marketed by national chains that didn't care about our town the way they did.
I spent the first decade of my career inside big brands and digital agencies — learning the playbooks, the tools, the spend levels, and the systems. Then I came home. And I started using those same tools for the only businesses I really cared about: family-owned, founder-led, community-rooted.
Today I work with 30–40 of those businesses a year. Some are first-generation. Some are fifth. They all have one thing in common: they're doing a lot of things, and they want help figuring out which of those things actually matter.
It's almost never about doing more. It's about doing the right things, in the best way.
